do you mean the “invisible” text (text style is white) in the post editor for user roles other than admin?
No, the last update broken the WSYIWIG editor in WordPress.
This fixes that.
Sorry it hasn’t yet appeared in the WordPress repositary. I think I’ve now fixed that and it should be appearing for download soon….
Hey,
is there a way so I can sponsor a bug or do something similar? There’s a bug with maps on and custom post types. I’ve spent some time in your code but I can’t figure it out. If you don’t have time to fix it for free, maybe I can donate something?

Hi Till,
A few people have been experiencing a few different problems with custom post types.
Can you provide a detailed explanation of your issue and let’s take it from there
- Ben
Hey,
I added some info to the issue on google code. I’m not sure what else to provide.
I have wpgeo activated for all pages and custom post types. I get as far as that the container for the map is rendered, but nothing else happens. My HTML contains links to the JavaScript files, the wpgeo defaults (map type, zoom level, etc.) and css.
I can’t figure out where e.g. the marker information is supposed to come from or the general initialization of the JavaScript for the actual map.

Hiya
Thanks for the best WordPress map plug-in we’ve found – but one glitch to report, which I have tested on a virgin install of the latest version of WordPress with the latest version of WP-Geo as the only plug-in.
In admin, when you create a new post, you can normally add a marker to the WP-Geo map at the bottom of the editing interface just by clicking on the map. However, if you first insert an image into the post from the media library, clicking on the map does not add a marker.
Any ideas?
Jack
That’s an odd one.
I’ll try to recreate the issue.
@Jack
I can recreate that issue fine but have no idea why it’s happening. I have logged the issue here but no solution as yet.
Any plans to update to the v3 maps api?
Also right now the address search is broken on my install (WP 3.2.1 / WPGeo 3.2.6.1. Things seem to still work except I have to locate my position on the map itself or get coordinates from a google map search. nothing I type in as an address is found.
I do plan to update to v3 – it’s just finding time to do it…
I’ll check to see if I can recreate the search issue.
Hi Ben,
sorry but I found a mistake. I use the nextgen gallery and yyour wp-geo the last years together and I had never a problem. Now I´d upload some pics and I got a mistake:
ERROR: Kuerbisschaum_Pasta_2011-01.jpg :
Fatal error: Class ‘WPGeo_Settings’ not found in /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wp-geo/includes/wp-geo.php on line 649
So is deactivated wp-geo and than I can upload my pics, afterwords I activated wp-geo. I hope you can use this informationen!
Cheers Jens
Hi, I got the same error (I use nextgen gallery and your plugin). When I disabled the flash upload and used the browser upload it worked without displaying the error. However, it would be useful to fix the error so as to be able to use flash upload along with your plugin. Maybe you could simply tell us what to change on line 649 (if it is that simple)?
With WP 3.3 the upload doesn´t work with flash and PLUPLOAD ( http://www.plupload.com ) is coming and the bug are gone….
So, now is WP 3.3 there and I update my blog. I tryed to upload pics in the nexgen gallery but this plugin use the old flash and the mistake is always there!
Ben, I hope you tryed it….

Thanks for your help!
I wish you a happy new year!
Cheers Jens
Which widget are you using to display the map?
Hi Ben,
I use the “Recent Location” Widget!
I am using Geo 3.2.6.1, WP 3.3, Nextgen 1.9.1
I finally figured out it is WP Geo that conflicts with Nextgen and not allowing me to dl my pics into a gallery. Although the pics do go into the gallery follder, they are not viewable and thumbnails cannot be generated.
When I turn off WP Geo plugin, everything uploads to my gallery fine and thumbnails are generated ok. This has been going on a while but I just figured out it is WP Geo causing this conflict.
Otherwise WP Geo functions correctly. How to fix this??
So, now is WP 3.3 there and I bring up to date my site. I tryed to publish photos in the nexgen collection but this tool use the old display and the error is always there!
Ben, I wish you tryed it….
Try moving the admin includes from the main plugin file to includes/wp-geo.php like this:
https://github.com/benhuson/WP-Geo/commit/5e030b36dfcbfc909edfb7c94a7f680ec0cf30be
If this works I’ll release it quickly as an update.
Hi Ben,
First, thanks for all your effort in developing the plugin.
I have an issue with the google API key and the plugin which I’m finding hard to track down.
One of my customer websites http://www.charlesstewartdesigns.com is flashing up the Google API key warning, only when my customer uses a UK O2 USB WIFI dongle.
The site works fine on normal WIFI so it only appears to be the 02 dongle that is causing the problem.
I wonder if you have seen this before and/or can point me in the right direction.
Thanks,
Wil.
Re Wil’s query above, see a discussion of 02 and Google Maps here:

Hope that helps
Much appreciated Jack!
