Thank you for all your feedback about the bugs in 3.1.3

They should now be fixed and in addition 3.1.4 contains the follow fixes, changes and enhancements.

Improvements for users:

  • Now uses new Google 3D map control.
  • Adding text colour style to tooltip text in case default text colour is white.
  • Prevent map from aligning marker centre on zoom. Added a link to centre manually instead.
  • Added option to save post map centre point.
  • Added wpgeo_map() and get_wpgeo_map() functions to display custom maps based on a WordPress query.
  • Language files updated.

Jens, it’s working on this demo site. Have you tried disabling other plugins to see if there is a conflict?

I notice you are using the Geo Mashup plugin. Have you tried disabling that to see if that is causing a conflict – please let me know if it is.

    Hi Ben,

I had also a Plugin runing from Nomadsconected.com and I turned this off and now WP Geo works.

    Thanks for this tip!!

PS: Geo Meshup is still runing!!

Hi Ben, just wondering if you can think of a solution or workaround to the grey tiles problem i am having on the right edge of my map, why do you think this is?

    • Ben says:

Hi Rashed, I have no idea why that is happening. Is it possible for you to try displaying the map not in the hidden tab and see if the problem still occurs.

I don’t think it is a problem withe the plugin – I think it’s a Google Map issue but I’m not sure why it’s happening.

I’ve upgraded WP Geo on 3.1.4 and it doesn’t show the map in the Add new posts window. 3.0.92 was the last version that worked okay. Suggestions?

For those of you who can’t see the map when editing or adding a new post, please could you try the following and let me know the results:

    1. What web browser are you using? (including the browser version)

    2. Have you tried disabling all your other plugins to see if there is a conflict. If this works try re-enabling the plugins one-by-one until your find the one that causes a problem and let me know which plugin that is.

    3. Try switching to the default theme. If that works let me know the theme with which you are experiencing problems.

  8. Hi there, this plugin could became the first solution to Google Maps if you add the functionality to add more then one marker to the map, as mappress currently do:

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/mappress-google-maps-for-wordpress/

Also please give some attention to WordPress MU / WordPress 3.0 Multi site support.

On the Add New post blank screen problem..:

    Firefox 3.5.9

Turn off all other plugs did not help.

Switching to default theme doesn’t help

Another data point. I installed 3.1.4 on another blog I have and it worked ok. This one has never had WP geo installed. Perhaps some old WP Geo version data problem?

    Hello!

This is really a very useful plug-in and really easy to use…

Is this plug-in WP3 compatible? Thank you! 🙂

Killer plugin! My only question – will you incorporate support for the geotagging the wordpress iphone app has built in? It sets custom values for the following keys:

    geo_accuracy, geo_public, geo_latitude, geo_longitude

I’d love to see your plugin try and use those values if it has no values set and those values exist. I’m going to be geotagging my drafts in the field and tweaking/publishing when I get back to my house. This would be a valuable addition to the hard work you’ve put into this project!

On the Add New post blank screen problem..:

It still occurs on WP Geo 3.2
