Google Maps JavaScript API Version 2 extended until 19th November, 2013

Saturday, 11th May 2013

The Google Maps JavaScript API Version 2 was officially deprecated on May 19, 2010.

The original deprecation period has been extended from May 19, 2013 until November 19, 2013. As of this date, all applications requesting v2 will be served a special, wrapped version of the v3 API instead. Google expect this wrapped version of the API will work for most simple maps, but strongly encourage you to migrate your code to version 3 of the Maps JavaScript API before this date.

WP Geo 3.3 now supports Google Maps API Version 3 so I suggest you check compatibility and upgrade sooner rather then later.

New Site Design

Wednesday, 24th March 2010

You may have noticed the WP Geo has had a little re-design…

Nothing major, a bit of tidying up here and there to make things a little cleaner. WP Geo 3.1.4 (which is essentially 3.1.3 but with all the bugs fixed) will be out soon providing there are no more major issues brought to my attention.

Welcome to the new WP Geo web site

Monday, 3rd November 2008

A new web site.
A new version of WP Geo coming soon…

The WP Geo WordPress plugin seems to have being attracting a lot of traffic so I have moved all things WP Geo over to this new web site.

Hopefully it will act as a better platform for documentation and discussion to evolve and improve the plugin. One of the objectives will be to evolve WP Geo so that developers can build plugins that hook into the plugin to easily create other geo-related plugins.

I hope you find the site useful. If you have used WP Geo on your site, why not post your site on the featured blogs page?
